Nothing terribly exciting today. We added a clause to our TOS to deal with AI. Because we live in the future.

So you don't have to go hunting for it, here's the new stuff we added:

AI and Image Privacy

Swift Galleries, LLC ("SGL") recognizes the importance of privacy and data security, especially in the context of artificial intelligence (AI) and the digital environment. To that end, we enact the following provisions:

• Images Uploaded to the Service: Images and other media files uploaded by users to the Websites are stored in secure and private repositories. These files are not made publicly accessible, and only authorized personnel within SGL have access to them.

• Protection Against AI Bots: SGL employs robust security measures to prevent unauthorized access, including scraping by AI bots or other automated tools.

By using the Websites and uploading content, users acknowledge and agree to these provisions, recognizing their alignment with our broader commitment to privacy and security.

Pretty straightforward stuff here:

• Your images are secure and only available to be viewed by authorized Admin users here at Swift Galleries (myself, Cyrus and Whitney, to be specific).
• Your images are not available publicly to be scraped by AI bots, or any other bots.

We pushed out a small update last week to harden the image upload process. If you were dealing with images failing to upload then you were probably cursing our very existence when trying to figure out which ones failed and which ones didn't.

Here's what's improved:

• Failed image uploads will now retry the upload 15 times before failing. This is up from 3 times, previously.
• If an upload still fails after 15 tries, you can now just click on the failed image to re-upload it. ✨Maaaaagic!✨

Pushed out a small update this morning to bring a little more clarity to framed print sizes as well as squash a couple bugs.

Here's what's new

The Gallery Designer now shows the full product size for framed prints

Before today, we only showed the print size inside the Designer and you had to figure out the full size based on the mat and frame dimensions that were added to the outside of that print size.

Today's update brings more clarity by showing both the Print Size as well as the Total Size when you select a framed print on the wall. Basically, we're doing the math for you and showing it in the side panel.

Bugs squashed

• Some members were getting a super-scary "this website is trying to steal all your things and kiss your sister" type warning when trying to confirm their new Swift Galleries accounts. We've fixed this. Your data (and your sisters) were never at risk.
• Some members were being locked out of their accounts even after paying their monthly membership. This is kinda the whole point of paying a membership, so we went ahead and stopped that, too. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

We've migrated all our account management, subscription management, CRM and email marketing to a new platform! Oh, and we launched a new website, too. And a new community.

It was a busy day.
